I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since my little man came home from Kazakhstan. 10 years of fond memories (and some not so fond), and 10 years of laughter and joy. In honour of this beautiful first decade together, I put a post out on what I’ve learned, not just as an adoptive parent… Continue reading It’s been a while….
‘Tis the season for dealing with….temper tantrums.
I’ve been meaning to write on this topic for a while as I truly was in a state of despair when my youngest would dish out his infamous meltdowns. The solution was quite simple, and after seeing its effectiveness, I kicked myself for not having thought to implement it sooner. I outline my adventures in… Continue reading ‘Tis the season for dealing with….temper tantrums.
Dear 2016:
2015 was amazing and you’ve got some big shoes to fill…but I know you’ll be just as great. As you are the year in which I turn fort….(really??), and I’m supposedly wiser, I propose we both abide by the following guidelines: It doesn’t matter how many methods of communication you create and develop for… Continue reading Dear 2016:
Summer 2015, you definitely kept us busy!
With summer well behind us and the little boys finally back at school and into a routine, I’ve finally found a moment to write. It was a long, sunny, fun and adventurous summer. Did I mention long? 10 weeks long? Between the day camps, catching up with friends, finishing our backyard and hosting family from… Continue reading Summer 2015, you definitely kept us busy!
When I win Lotto Max, I’ll build the school that exists in my head.
Growing up, I was always the most conforming and obedient A+ (++++) student. So… Continue reading When I win Lotto Max, I’ll build the school that exists in my head.

I get told, all the time, about how lucky I am that both my boys are such great eaters. They’re not picky and they’re definitely not fussy. And believe me they eat. A LOT! However it really has… Continue reading They really do eat everything….
Gentlemen…..thoughts please?
Every year it’s the same thing. Wedding season rolls around and along with it comes the engagement parties and bridal showers. And although I’ve managed to get my kids out of most of these activities, weddings seem to cause me grief. Please don’t get me wrong. I enjoy being part of these festivities and attending… Continue reading Gentlemen…..thoughts please?
Why I’m sharing Day Map
Even though we launched it a few weeks ago, Day Map went live today on many of the social media platforms and it was like watching my baby take its first steps as it started taking on a personality of its own. Day Map came to my rescue in the first years following the arrival… Continue reading Why I’m sharing Day Map
NYC vs Little Boys
They said it couldn’t be done. My itinerary too aggressive. Not enough time. Such a big and busy city for such very active boys. One of my goals has been to expose my boys to as many global cities as possible so when a PA day at school created a long weekend, I jumped on… Continue reading NYC vs Little Boys
